How to Choose a Site for Jungle Trekking Equipment? Having a Forest Doesn't Guarantee a Suitable Location!

Jungle adventure and obstacle courses have always been popular projects for many scenic spots, farms, campgrounds, parks, and educational bases. They offer relatively flexible investment, a strong experiential element, and encourage visitors to stay longer, making them increasingly popular.

However, many clients ask, "If I have a forest here, can I do a jungle trekking?" The answer is not necessarily.

First, prioritize assessing the forest conditions.

Generally, trees should be at least 3 meters tall, and ideally have a trunk diameter of 25-30 centimeters or more. This is necessary to meet the installation requirements of the platform and safety system. If the tree is too thin, its load-bearing capacity will be insufficient, and it cannot be used as a primary support tree.

2. Check if the trees are straight enough.

Some trees may meet the diameter requirement, but if the trunk is bent, severely tilted, or the roots have grown crookedly, these trees are also unsuitable for equipment installation. Because trees are crucial support points for the entire project, their stability directly affects later operation and visitor safety.

3. Besides individual trees, the distance between trees is also important.

If two trees are about 8-10 meters apart with a certain height difference, zip-lining, aerial zip-lining, and other similar experiences can be planned. If the trees are closer together, it's more suitable to design challenging obstacles such as suspension bridges, log bridges, obstacle courses, tire bridges, and balance bridges.

SECOND, create routes of varying difficulty for different visitors.A mature jungle adventure amusement project is not simply about installing equipment on trees, but about comprehensive planning based on the site's forest conditions. The design team will consider tree distribution, terrain undulations, elevation differences, and visitor flow to plan a safe yet fun challenge route.

Family-friendly routes can have lower elevations and increased interactive fun, making them more suitable for children and families; adult routes can have increased elevation, speed, and obstacle difficulty, making the challenge more exciting. A reasonable combination of routes of different levels can cover a wider range of consumers and increase the project's operational value.

THIRD, ensure safety while integrating with the surrounding natural environment.

For scenic areas and agricultural tourism projects, good jungle adventure equipment must not only be safe but also blend seamlessly with the natural environment, minimizing its impact on the forest and creating a unique experience while protecting the trees.

If you happen to have a forest and are unsure whether it's suitable for a jungle adventure project, it's recommended to have a professional team conduct an on-site survey first. From tree conditions and terrain to route planning and equipment selection, a comprehensive design in advance will control investment costs and create a more attractive and profitable jungle adventure project.
